Radio Boys (Chapman:02) at Ocean Point

The Radio Boys at Ocean Point; or The Message That Saved the Ship is the second volume in Grosset & Dunlap's trademarked "The Radio Boys Series," written by Allen Chapman. In radio's early, experimental days of the 1920s there were two major series of juvenile fiction titled "The Radio Boys." This book is from the series published by Grosset & Dunlap and written under the name Allen Chapman, while the other major series was authored by Gerald Breckenridge and published by A.L. Burt. There was also a short series by Cupples & Leon Company for girls, titled appropriately "The Radio Girls." All three series began in the early days of radio in the 1920s. (G-Book editions of titles from all three series are available.)

The first five titles in the Grosset & Dunlap series were copyrighted in 1922, this being the second. This volume lists to itself, but the dust jacket lists to the Forest Rangers (1923) and additional titles listed at the back of the book indicate this might be a 1925 printing. Includes a foreword by Jack Binns and a glossy frontispiece.
